St. Louis Art Museum features work by Emil Frei Artists

In an upcoming exhibition at the St. Louis Art Museum titled ST. LOUIS MODERN  The Era of Innovative Design, a stained glass window, produced by Emil Frei & Associates and designed by artist Francis Deck, will be featured.  The exhibition focuses on contributions of artists and architects to midcentury modern design in St. Louis.  Architectural historian Mary Reid Brunstrom will be giving a lecture titled Midcentury Modern Architecture in St. Louis: an Expanded View in which you can expect to hear more about the important contribution of artists at Emil Frei & Associates to this era of design.

The exhibit will be running from November 8, 2015 – January 31, 2015 at the St. Louis Art Museum in Forest Park

The lecture Midcentury Modern Architecture in St. Louis: an Expanded View will be given on Friday, November 13, at 7 pm

“Vatican Splendors” at the Missouri History Museum

David Frei

David Frei puts the finishing touches on a glass tesserae mosaic now on display at the Missouri History Museum. This piece is being displayed with the exhibit “Vatican Splendors, A Journey Through Faith and Art.” It is an example of the craft that can be seen up close.

This exhibit is being billed as a once-in-a-lifetime collection of mosaics and other artwork on loan from the Vatican. It runs through September 12, 2010.
