David Frei puts the finishing touches on a glass tesserae mosaic now on display at the Missouri History Museum. This piece is being displayed with the exhibit “Vatican Splendors, A Journey Through Faith and Art.” It is an example of the craft that can be seen up close.

This exhibit is being billed as a once-in-a-lifetime collection of mosaics and other artwork on loan from the Vatican. It runs through September 12, 2010.
